About extension.rocks

extension.rocks is an independent software project dedicated to building high-quality Chrome extensions. We focus on tools that are practical, privacy-respecting, and free to use.

Our Story

extension.rocks started as a personal project — building small browser utilities to solve problems we encountered in our own daily work. What began as a single sticky notes extension has grown into a portfolio of 8 Chrome extensions used by thousands of people around the world.

Every extension we publish reflects a simple philosophy: do one thing, do it well, and respect the user. We do not collect personal data, we do not inject ads into web pages, and we do not sell user information. When an extension needs to communicate with an external service — like fetching weather data or syncing notes to the cloud — it does so transparently and only with the user's explicit permission.

What We Build

Our extensions fall into three categories:

Productivity

  • Note-it Aside — Sticky notes, canned responses, and task lists in the Chrome side panel
  • Clipboard Cleaner — Clear your clipboard contents instantly for privacy

Web Development

Everyday Utilities

Our Principles

  • Privacy by default — Data stays on your device unless you choose otherwise. Most extensions require zero permissions beyond basic functionality.
  • No bloat — Each extension is focused and lightweight. We do not bundle unrelated features or load unnecessary scripts.
  • No hidden costs — Everything we publish is free, with no premium upsells, paywalls, or subscriptions.
  • Transparent development — Our privacy policies are specific and honest about what each extension does and does not do. No vague language, no hidden data collection.

Built with Care

All of our extensions are built with modern web technologies — Vue.js, TypeScript, and Chrome's Manifest V3 platform. We support over 50 languages for our most popular extensions and continuously improve based on user feedback and Chrome platform updates.
